I have a classical liberal opinion, and would allow any healthy productive workers to migrate as they so choose. IMO the more a country restricts and regulates, the worse a place it is to live.
That said, I never understood why we have military bases spread out all across the middle of nowhere, instead of lined up along our borders. |

Some are chosen for strategic reasons - for instance - one base that is now a training center in updstate NY was choses because its in a city that is in the top ten of least sunniest days. They liked the cloud cover before satallites could see through clouds. |

I have a real issue with "illegal immigrants"...those that are here by sneaking in, taxing our social services, and costing us money.
Think of it this way. If someone unknown and uninvited entered your home...ate your food without paying, used your beds as their hotel without paying, read your books to become more educated without paying, raided your medicine cabinet so they could be healthier, used other resources in your home with no payment, drove your car illegally, and maybe injured someone in your family...wouldn't this anger you? If you tried to tell them to leave your home, not squander your resources that you pay for...and they in turn protest in your driveway waving flags from elsewhere, and cursing you for not being humane and demanding that your elected officials support them...wouldn't it piss you off? Is this any different than what is happening in our country now?
And why are our politicians paying so much attention to "rescuing illegal felons" of this country, when they damn sure don't care a lick about U.S. Citizens who broke our laws and are in jail?
Guess that's really pretty easy to answer after all. It's the "votes" stupid!! Plain and simple. |

I don't like jail or politicians, but I do like people. I want more people and less red tape. If they want to work, let 'em! Kick out big govt, not hard working mexicans!

First let me say that I am not in any way shape or form a racist or a bigot or some kind of Neo-Nazi skinhead type who believes that the only true race is Caucasian....I'm half Lebanese. What I am def against is illegal immigrants of any kind who come here to our country and wreck hell and havoc upon our society.
Our news broadcasts and papers are full of crimes and the majority of the crimes involve a person/persons of Hispanic origins and 9 times out of 10 they are here illegally! Then after they are arrested they are sent back to Mexico and most promptly jump the border again to come back and commit more crime. Drive by shootings are almost every night. It is rare when we don't hear shots ring out more than once each night. Road rage is all too common and idiots fire at each others cars not caring who is hit. Violence and more violence.
There is a new law here that will hopefully stop employers from hiring illegals for fear of a huge fine, possible jail time, and the loss of their business. Why do I applaud this?? Because hopefully jobs will open back up for the citizens here in need of work instead of being given to undocumented workers who are willing to work for way less pay just so they can be here in the states illegally! The construction industry is one of the major offenders in that practice.
I took Spanish in High School for 4 years because it was an "Elective" I find it extremely brash for our schools to begin teaching Spanish words to kids in elementary school so they can communicate some with the kids in their classes who speak only Spanish! Our children are getting an education that falls way short of what I may have received because teachers have to spend more time with the non-English speaking students.
When going to a fast food restaurant it is extremely irritating to have someone who barely speaks English try to take your order. Granted Not every person working in fast food is here illegally but more times than not that is just the case.
When I worked at Home Depot many of the customers who came in were speaking only Spanish making it very difficult for those who spoke no Spanish to help them. I knew many Hispanics that I worked with who Refused to help them because "Hey if they are going to be here they need to speak English just like I do" was more often than not the comment used as to why they were making me try to deal with them. Ha! But did I get a higher rate of pay??? Nope! Why?? Because it wasn't my "second language"? Because I am white?? Sheeesh!
When a pregnant woman comes here illegally or not and the child is born here that child is automatically a citizen therefore entitled to all the help from our government such as food stamps, medical etc.
Do I sound like an asshole to some of you yet??? Try being able to understand what someone is saying in a different language say at a welfare office and listen to them brag about how they crossed the border into the states pregnant and has had 3 kids more by a different father just to stay here in the states and how easy it is to get food stamps medical and money even if here as an illegal. Pretty damn ballsy huh??
And then they claim to want to be here so badly but when they march for their "RIGHTS???" (what rights?? They are NOT citizens!!) they carry the Mexican flag through our streets and chant in Spanish and holler out "Viva Mexico". What the hell???
Look there are many self-respecting Hispanics in our state legal and illegal who don't rock the boat but those that do should be sent back with no chance of return! Those here to take advantage of the welfare system leaving other needy families out in the cold but getting aide because we don't dare piss off the Hispanic people sheeeeesh! Send em back let them come the way of anyone else wishing to immigrate to our country does....the LEGAL way!
My son-in-law is Mexican but here legally and I wouldn't trade him for the world but he feels the same way I do . As do all of the Hispanic friends and acquaintances I have. They are embarrassed and appalled at the audacity of the illegal aliens in our nation and do not wish to be put in the same class as what they consider common criminals who are breaking the law just by being here!
